INTERNSHIPS
Our internships are aimed at those who wish to develop their skills in the practical side of agriculture, with a focus on agroecology. During the period of the internship, the interns will be involved in different aspects of the farm operation, from seeding and harvesting to crop rotation planning, learning about sales channels and interacting with customers on the farm. Interns will also learn building and self sufficiency skills. Since we approach farming from an agroecological perspective, it is important for us to teach about ecological, social and economical sustainability.
The intern may decide which activities they wish to be most involved with in order to optimise their learning experience and even carry out a personal project for example for research or experimentation.

You can choose between academic or independent internships:
INDEPENDENT INTERNSHIP:
This internship is not connected to any academic program and does not provide university credits. It is designed for those who have completed their studies or who simply wish to gain practical experience and explore new ways of working and living.
The program and requirements are the same as for our academic internships — it’s simply an opportunity for non-students to take part in a meaningful, educational experience.
ACADEMIC INTERNSHIP: see bellow
If you have any questions you can email us to: mariana@alnarpsfarm.se
ACADEMIC INTERNSHIP

If your university requires an internship as part of your studies, our program is usually recognized by universities and can provide academic credits to fulfill that requirement. The length and period of the internship can be discussed and adjusted according to your university’s specific guidelines.
If you are an SLU student, there are many opportunities for earning academic credits while working on Alnarp’s Farm. There are courses that you can apply to for every period of the year, even the summer semester! In particular, the free-standing course Advance Practice is open to all students for all periods of the year.
