Have you thought about making your own sauerkraut but never tried it? Or have you read about all the health benefits of fermented vegetables and wonder how to make it? Maybe you are a sauerkraut lover or have never tasted it. Regardless, this practical workshop in fermentation is for you.
Morning: We'll start by going over what fermentation is and the different ways you can ferment vegetables. Then we'll grab our cutting board and knife and get started!
Afternoon: We learn to ferment vegetables in salt water and use seasonal local produce as our starting point. Here the flavor combinations are endless! Here too, everyone gets a jar of homemade fermented vegetables.
No prior knowledge required.
